It was a pleasure to receive information that our Bodrum Milta Marina was awarded 5 Gold Anchors, undoubtedly regarded as a sign of excellence like the Five Stars of a hotel. Experience, however, called for a check up of the issuing authority, TYHA – The Yacht Harbour Association, which seems to be a commercial enterprise that does not appear to be overly selective or attentive to detail. This evaluation came from an examination of the organization’s website where to our surprise we noticed that the address of Port Bodrum Yalikavak Marina is given as Mecidiyekoy, Istanbul, Turkey. Also, included among the 5 Anchor marinas were some whose presence there may be questionable. This, of course, in no way reflects on Bodrum Milta Marina which is indeed among the finest.
