Warm weather makes trees bloom in Bodrum

Because of the unseasonably warm and sunny weather in the past few weeks in Bodrum, flowers have bloomed in the fields and almond trees have blossomed in some villages.

In Bodrum, after a week of excessive rain and floods, the sun has now come up. People who wanted to make the best use of the good weather spent time sitting in cafes or taking long walks at the Kumbahçe, Paşatarlası and Bitez shores.

Also, fields in the Yalı, Gümüşlük and Yalıkavak regions have been in full blossom. Several picnickers said: “We are living through a spring phase. It creates joy and happiness. In a short time, the poppies will come out and the scene will be even more delightful.”

Tourists staying in hotels in Bodrum also enjoy the warm season, making them feel as if spring has come early. They take long walks along the beaches and enjoy watching the sunset outdoors.

Officials from the Muğla Meteorology Directorate predict that the warm weather will continue for another week.
