♠Shooting a puppy with a shotgun at point-blank range is unthinkable, nauseating, revolting. So it must have been an inhuman brutal sadist who pulled the trigger of his weapon so close to nine-month-old German shepherd puppy named Lisa (inset photo) that the cardboard shot casing itself was embedded in the wound and over 200 buckshot sprayed into the little body. The pup’s owner Reşat Ağır rushed her to the Atlantis Pet Hospital where vet Rami Özer did his utmost to save Lisa, but the internal damage was too great and the pup died. We believe that this wanton cruelty should not go unpunished so anybody who may have information on who could have committed such an atrocity is asked to inform the gendarmerie in Mumcular.
⌂While the world housing market is suffering from the credit crunch another group of mostly German and Dutch investors in Bodrum real estate has reportedly fallen victim to fraud. Some of these homes located on sites named ‘Nalbant’, ‘Semiray’, ‘Akbaş’ and ‘Kilavuz’ are said to have been sold for US$ 100,000 to US$250,000. The developer absconded without delivering deeds to some owners, without completing building some units and without settling debts to nearly 40 building materials suppliers. Some 70 victims, home owners and suppliers, have reportedly filed complaints with the gendarmerie and the local court.
