A touch of “Culture and History” for Bodrum

This autumn the Herodotus Third Age Academy (H3A) has arranged a series of talks and discussions first in English and later in Turkish, in conjunction with the Bodrum Chamber of Commerce and Bodrum Rotary Club to explore some issues of key cultural interest:

•“Traces of Jewish presence and culture in Milas, Bodrum and Kos triangle” presented by Sara Pardo, historian and writer – Tuesday, 20 December 15.00- 17.00.

The venue is the Bodrum Chamber of Commerce. These presentations will be free and open to the public. In the evening over dinner, further discussion will take place with members of the Bodrum Rotary Club at the Doria Hotel, Bitez.

The Bodrum Herodotus Academy of the Third Age (H3A) is the first Third Age organisation in Turkey.  Third Age organisations were started in 1972 in France and spread worldwide.  H3A is a self-help learning co-operative which helps people to get together to establish a wide range of groups linked to their interests.  Our groups are led by volunteers who want to share their particular knowledge, skills, experience or interest with others.  The concept is shared learning.  Meeting formats vary according to the subject and include local tours and longer trips.  www.hero3a.com
